Helena Sarvela is a ceramist and designer from Helsinki, Finland. In addition to being a ceramist (potter) she is a popular instructor and lecturer. Sarvela's subject matter for her lectures at The School of Crafts and Design and The School of Economics Small Enterprises Centre have been amongst others, analysis of business idea and marketing.
Helena Sarvela introduced to Finland the International Empty Bowls event, which at a grassroots level fights against hunger. The communal happening is carried out in association with Unicef.
